Spring Show 2007 - The MikadoThis spring's production is The Mikado, or The Town of Titipu. Everyone has a favorite Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, but The Mikado seems always to rank in their top three. So irresistible are the music, lyrics, characters and plot that British director Mike Leigh chose the original making of this opera as the backdrop for his much-lauded 2000 film Topsy Turvy. We're very pleased to present this, our third production of The Mikado, with just the slightest twist—the production will be an homage to our oldest member, Warren Loud. Suffice it to say that we remain true to the magic and merriment of the original production, but also offer the slightest hint of newness to the production for you, our loyal audience.
The Stage Director for The Mikado is Joseph Andrews. The music director is Roderick Phipps-Kettlewell.
The following people have been cast in the named roles of The Mikado. Koko Peter Hedlesky
